Currently, oil and gas companies are subject to delays in deliveries, due to the slowness of the usual manufacturing processes and metal components, resulting in financial losses. Adopting Additive Manufacturing (AM) Petrobras reduces costs and production time, since it allows the manufacture "just-in-time". This research project involves the development of an intelligent printer for Metal AM. More specifically, the goal is the development of the module that will inspect the quality of the electric arc welding process, in real time, using deep learning techniques.
