The huge amount of data generated daily by medical and dental imaging devices has as an immediate consequence the growing need for computational techniques for analyzing and extracting information. In particular, radiological images of the human body (X-ray, tomography, resonance, etc.), can be processed via machine learning techniques for segmentation of structures of interest or extraction of features, thus aiding the diagnosis of diseases. In this theme, we are working on the analysis of dental images and face images for applications in craniofacial bioengineering.
